Music Therapy is the specialized use of music by a credentialed professional in order to achieve measurable non-musical outcomes in communication, cognition and learning, psychosocial adjustments, motor and sensory processing.

A Board Certified Music Therapist uses songs, movement to music, instrument playing and listening to music to help children increase:
• Communication
• Gross and Fine Motor movements (walking, grasping, etc.)
• Socialization
• Cognition (attention, sequencing, etc.)
• Pre-academics: colors, animals, alphabet, etc.
• Academics

Music to Grow On was established in 2000 to provide Music Therapy services to children with special needs. It is committed to using music in helping children with special needs reach their fullest potential.
Music To Grow On is now expanding to offer music therapy services to children of all abilities, including Mommy and Me groups, individual sessions, and mixed-ability groups! Services are available at home or clinic based.
