Application Process

Applicants should have a genuine love and desire to work with children with various levels of ability. Interns are expected to have repertoire of children’s songs and be able to accompany such songs on guitar and piano/keyboard. Intern will be required to sing both acapella and accompanied in an appropriate range for children. Interns should be able to incorporate percussion instruments into activities. Strong written and verbal skills are of great importance for success in this internship.

Applicants are encouraged to plan a visit to the facility to spend a day observing, meeting staff, providing a sampling of musical skills, and interview. This will allow the applicant and Music To Grow On to ensure a good fit. Accommodations can be made for applicants who find a visit difficult.
