Mommy and Me Groups The Mommy and Me Music Groups involve music activities that would include fingerplays (like Itsy Bitsy Spider), music and movement activities, singing, and instrument playing. Activities will encourage interaction between all participants, turn taking, singing together, listening skills, following directions, motor planning, pre-academics (ie. colors, animals, shapes, letters, counting, etc.), and much more. Activities will be adapted to the participants’ ages and needs. The groups are open to typically developing children or those with special needs. Parents are encouraged to participate to continue the musical experience in the home and assist their child(ren) to participate and gain the most from the experience. (Minimum of 5 children, maximum of 10 children.)
